Description

NWI Precision specializes in high-precision machining of helicopter masts, turbine shafts, engine thrust links, and nuclear pressure vessel components used in the aerospace and nuclear industries worldwide. NWI Precision’s 120,000 sq. ft. facility is located at 9 Fenmar Drive in Toronto. Our dedicated team prides themselves on delivering the highest quality products, to specifications and on time. NWI Precision is currently seeking an experienced NDT Technician.
The NDT Technician is responsible for performing non-destructive testing and coordinate measuring machine operations to ensure product compliance with technical specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting precision components using NDT and CMM process, identifying defects, and ensuring dimensional accuracy, playing a vital role in our quality control and assurance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Certification in NDT methods (Level II, or III as applicable) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712.
  • Proven experience operating CMM equipment and writing CMM programs.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Good computer skills and experience with measurement software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality documentation.
