SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Radiographic Testing PCN Level 2 or AINDT Level 2.
  • Magnetic Particle Testing PCN Level 2 or AINDT Level 2.
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing PCN Level 2 or AINDT Level 2.
  • Ultrasonic Testing PCN Level 2 (3.1, 3.2, Welds) – desirable.
  • Northern Territory Radiation Safety Licence.
  • IRATA Rope Access Qualifications (any level).
  • Working at Heights.
  • Confined Space Entry.
  • Gas Test Atmospheres.
  • 4WD Driver Training.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Aptitude and ability to work on-site unaided in a diverse range of industrial environments including the Oil & Gas, Defence, Power and Chemical industries. Previous experience within these sectors advantageous.
  • Proven experience in completing high quality NDT worksheets and reports.
  • Experienced in CUI inspection with the use of Go scan C-View unit.
  • Experienced in the use and maintenance of JME crawlers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Vertech is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join our team for ongoing work based in Darwin. The position will primarily involve site work within the Darwin region.
To be eligible for this role, you must be locally based in Darwin, NT or willing to relocate and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in pipeline radiography, computed radiography, and corrosion under insulation (CUI) inspection.
In addition to your salary, site uplift will be applicable when working on site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct NDT inspections as required.
  • Manage project deliverables, ensuring that projects are proactively coordinated and completed according to the project plan.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to complete project solutions safely and efficiently.
