Description
Overview Element has an opportunity for NDT Ultrasonic Inspectors (3rd Shift) for Level I and Level II openings. Completion of applicable classroom time, and practical hours (OJT) to achieve Level II certification within the first year of employment, is required. Candidate must be available to attend evening classes as they are scheduled for the duration of training. Training on first shift may be required 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then will move to second 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or third 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Salary: $18- $30/hr DOE Responsibilities Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications Accurately record results and associated data of nondestructive tests and evaluations Maintain familiarity with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Level I technicians Skills / Qualifications High school Diploma or GED Required Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in monitoring own work to ensure quality and ability to maintain confidentiality of customer sensitive data Able to withstand working in plant / and or shop areas around production equipment with high noise level Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection Technical / mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency preferred Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds #LI-SN1 Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
