Job Description We are seeking skilled and motivated FinOps Practioner, to join our Nearshore team working on a high-impact project for a Belgium client, working in a dynamic, cloud-first environment. This role plays a key part in aligning cloud and technology spend with business strategy, ensuring financial accountability, predictability and efficiency across Cloud, Data Centre, Licensing, AI and SaaS domains. The ideal candidate combines deep technical FinOps expertise with strong financial acumen, working closely with engineering, finance, procurement and leadership teams. Monitor, analyse and optimise multi-cloud costs across platforms such as AWS, Azure and other cloud providers. Apply advanced cost optimisation techniques, including: Reserved Instances, Savings Plans and Spot Instances, Autoscaling and Rightsizing. Continuous optimisation based on workload usage patterns. Define, implement and enforce cloud financial governance, including: tagging standards and cost allocation models; Budget controls and spend guardrails; Policy-driven cost management practices. Track and assess vendor pricing changes, evaluating financial impact and recommending mitigation or optimisation actions. Lead and support enterprise-level budgeting and forecasting for: Cloud platforms; Data Centre environments; Software licensing. AI workloads and SaaS services. Design and implement showback and chargeback models, ensuring transparency and accountability across business units. Support scenario planning and financial modelling to align technology spend with strategic targets. Build and maintain automated FinOps reporting and dashboards, including cost anomaly detection and trend analysis. Integrate FinOps practices into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable cost-aware engineering. Ensure compliance with financial reporting and security requirements applicable in Belgium and the European Union, aligned with the FOCUS standard. Produce clear documentation and insights for technical, financial and executive stakeholders. Qualifications Proven experience in a FinOps, Cloud Financial Management or Technology Finance role. Strong hands-on experience with multi-cloud cost monitoring, analysis and optimisation. Deep understanding of cloud pricing models and optimisation levers. Demonstrated experience with financial governance in cloud environments, including tagging, cost allocation and budget enforcement. Strong background in budgeting and forecasting at enterprise scale, covering Cloud, Data Centre, Licensing, AI and SaaS. Solid skills in automated reporting, dashboards and anomaly detection. Experience integrating FinOps into DevOps / CI/CD and IaC workflows. Familiarity with and application of the FOCUS standard. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both technical and financial stakeholders. Comfortable working in international and cross-functional teams.
