JOB SUMMARY

As a Technician for our Necropsy team located in Senneville, you will mainly be responsible for performing the post-mortem examination of animals while following the ethical regulations and directives from study plans. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Dissecting and evaluating animal tissues for pathologists;
  • Weigh and document all abnormalities of the organs;
  • Euthanize animals prior to performing the necropsy.

KEY ELEMENTS

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

  • Collegial Diploma in Animal Health or any other Biology related field;
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or any other Animal Science related field;
  • Dissection experience (asset);
  • Ability to work in a team environment, independently, and detail-oriented;
  • Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

Responsibilities

ROLE SPECIFIC INFORMATION:

  • Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1;

  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;

  • Salary: $22/hrs;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Daytime schedule, Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs, you may have to do weekends rotations and overtime;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
