Internal Role Title: Neighbourhood Services Manager – Supported & Retirement Living, Essex
Hours: 17.5 hours per week – Wednesday (12.30pm – 5pm), Thursday and Friday (9am – 5pm)
Salary: £16,468 - £20,585 per annum plus car allowance of £1,165 per annum (salary offered dependent on experience)
Contract: Part-time, Permanent
Location: Maldon, Essex

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of properties, ensuring they meet high standards of safety, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction. This includes conducting estate inspections, overseeing service contracts, and handling tenancy matters with a focus on supporting vulnerable residents.
You’ll lead on tenancy enforcement and anti-social behaviour cases, manage lettings and voids, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and health and safety requirements. Rent account management and complaint resolution will also be key parts of your role, alongside working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to enhance service delivery and community wellbeing.

The entry requirements for this role are:

  • A good standard of education, with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of housing management contracts, tenancy and leases
  • A good understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation and procedure.
  • A good understanding of welfare benefits, particularly Housing Benefits.
  • An excellent understanding of occasions that require liaison with Social Services
  • (e.g. child protection, domestic violence).
  • Access to suitable transport and a full UK driving licence.
  • An ability to undertake work outside of normal office hours to meet the needs of the compan
