Overview Responsible for clinical, consultative and educational activities that identifies and facilitates processes to address the learning needs of the parents of RNICU patients. Accountable for developing and monitoring educational classes, materials and resources for patients and their families. Uses a multidisciplinary approach to coordinate the discharge of patients. Qualifications Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing with current Alabama licensure. Experience: Prefer 5 years of RN experience in Level III Neonatal ICU. Recent experience as an educational instructor preferred. Additional Skills/Abilities: Proficient in the use of personal computer, word processing etc. Ability to effectively communicate with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills. Public speaking skills.
