Responsibilities In collaboration with the attending physician, the NNP provides advanced practice nursing management of neonatal patients in the Legacy Health System. The NNP utilizes an expanded knowledge base and advanced technical skills in the delivery of care. The NNP promotes and pursues professional growth in the following ways: Provides continuing education to health care professionals in the hospital and the community. Participates in the coordination of outreach education to referral hospitals. Pursues professional continuing education for self. Maintains involvement in special projects, professional publication, and clinical research. Neonatal Nurse Practitioners provide 24-hour coverage and are regularly scheduled for nights, holidays and weekends. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an NICU Staff Nurse, Level III preferred. Licensure Licensure: Current applicable state RN license required. National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required. Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP) required. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor Certification, (or within 90 days of employment). Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges. Completion of ECMO certification course preferred. Pay Range USD $68.83 - USD $102.56 /Hr.
