As an Application Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our technology, operations, and product teams to ensure that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining monitoring tools, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any performance bottlenecks or system failures. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure, automation, and a passion for creating reliable and scalable systems.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Application Support Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience in .Net / C# or similar
• Strong proficiency in C#, HTML and CSS for web development
• Knowledge of GraphQL, Kafka data streaming, Blazor server and ASP.Net core
• Knowledge of any of the following preferred but not essential: AWS, Datadog, Kubernetes, Java, React, GoLang.
• Strong understanding of application support, performance optimisation, cost optimisation, and resilience.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 on-call rotation for production support.

• Production Support: Provide 24x7 production support, including incident resolution and on-call rotation, to ensure the availability and reliability of critical applications.
• Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and analyse application performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, and implementing optimisations to enhance overall performance.
• Cost Optimisation: Implement cost-effective solutions to optimize cloud resources and ensure efficient resource utilisation within AWS environments.
• Resilience: Work to enhance the resilience and fault tolerance of applications, including designing disaster recovery solutions and conducting failover testing.
• Defect and Bug Fixes: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve defects and bugs in applications, collaborating with development teams to implement effective solutions.
• CI/CD: Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the seamless deployment of applications, and automating release processes.
