Description

VetsEZ is currently seeking a .Net Developer to join a team to support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The position will support the Data Migration & Syndication effort within the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO).
The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain web applications using Angular/TypeScript and MVC.
  • Implement backend services using .NET Core C#, Web APIs, ObjectScript, and Python.
  • Design and manage databases using MSSQL and InterSystems IRIS by querying for data, analyzing performance, and maintaining appropriate indexes.
  • Utilize tools and libraries such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SSIS, SSMS, IIS, Bootstrap, DevExpress, PrimeNG, Docker, Fortify, Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool, GitHub, Postman, and OpenAPI (Swagger).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Implement new features and enhancements by working with other individuals and teams to support software updates.
  • Perform integration testing, unit testing, and performance testing for software changes.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of code documentation.
  • Deploy applications to test and production environments and manage their configurations.
  • Monitor the performance of applications in IIS and troubleshooting issues related to those applications running in IIS.
  • Use of version control, such as Git, to manage code changes and track development progress.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other developers and teams.
  • Research and keep up to date with new technologies and trends in all languages and frameworks used.
  • Maintain and update existing codebases to keep them up to date and secure.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer with proficiency in Angular/TypeScript, .NET Core (Web APIs), and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Agile software development and its software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in the VA or other federal organizations desired.
  • Experience with Data Migration and Data Syndication within the VA desired.
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance.
