On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a .NET Developer for a 5 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

.NET DEVELOPER (SNOWFLAKE) - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The .NET Developer will be involved in designing and implementing robust solutions for re-pointing C# .NET applications from Oracle to Snowflake. The project involves data access layer modernization and performance tuning for the new data platform, as well as executing the migration of Oracle to PostgreSQL.

.NET DEVELOPER (SNOWFLAKE) - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in C# .NET
  • Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

.NET DEVELOPER (SNOWFLAKE) – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with data access layer modernization
  • Familiarity with performance tuning for data platforms
  • Knowledge of data migration processes
  • Understanding of application compatibility challenges
  • Experience in a hybrid work environment
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust solutions for re-pointing C# .NET applications from Oracle to Snowflake
  • Encompass data access layer modernization and performance tuning for the new data platform
  • Execute the migration of Oracle to PostgreSQL
  • Transform and migrate Oracle PL/SQL routines to Snowflake
  • Address technical challenges to maintain data consistency and application compatibility
  • Complete an acceptable volume of work and communicate the status of personal work plans and tasks
  • Participate in code/design reviews by senior staff
