DESCRIPTION

Our Client is seeking a .NET Developer to program and provide development and Application Maintenance System (AMS) support for several public engagement and communications applications.
Resource will work remotely but must be available to be on-site when requested for meetings. Frequency of meeting could be up to 3-4 times per month. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Resource is responsible to pay for travel to on-site meetings. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply.

SKILLS

SQL Server, WCF, Cold Fusion, VBA/VB6, Visual Studio, .NET

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/MANDATORY SKILLS

• 5 years of experience doing SQL Server development including procedures, indexes, foreign key relationships, table creation, and entity model diagrams
• 5 years of experience building applications using Microsoft’s Windows Communication Foundation.
• 3 years of experience using and developing with Cold Fusion
• 5 years of experience using and developing with VBA/VB6 Office Automation
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 or higher.
• 5 years of experience with programming language .NET
• 5 years of experience with programming language .NET Core
• 5 years of experience with programming language Visual Basic
• 5 years of experience with software development processes and all associated best practices, methods, standards, tools and policies.
• 5 years of experience working as a senior application developer on multiple large COTS/Custom software applications in a within a large and complex public sector environment.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• 5 years of experience and technical knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI).
• 3 years of experience parsing, splitting, and building PDF documents in .NET
• 3 years of experience using Microsoft Entity Framework
• 5 years of experience using Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps Server.
• 3 years of experience using the Java Script libraries JQuery, Datatables, SuiteAlert, and Bootstrap
• 3 years of experience with Agile backlog management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• 3 years of experience with disaster recovery testing
• 5 years of experience with GIT repository, continuous delivery, continuous integration, and unit testing
• 5 years of experience working with GoA EC/CPE applications.
• 3 years of experience integrating applications with LDAP / Active Directory with .NET
• 3 years of experience using DevExpress ASP.NET web form controls or DevExpress ASP.NET MVC controls
