Description

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Network Administrator to join our IT team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the network infrastructure to ensure smooth operations, maximum uptime, and optimal network performance. This role requires a strong understanding of networking concepts, hands-on experience with network hardware, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • Requires 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Must have knowledge of VPNs, SSL, and firewall management.
  • Experience with network security best practices, and concepts.
  • Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills.
  • Must have hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Requires knowledge of computing infrastructures and server management and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting ATO and POAM activities is highly desired.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues
  • Relevant certifications such as Network+, CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, CCIE, CISSP, CISA is highly desired.
  • Must be able to attain agency suitability clearance prior to start date.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor the performance of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Set up and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to ensure data protection and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Support ATO and POAM requirements.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including topology, IP addressing, and configuration details.
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure.
  • Work closely with other IT staff, departments, and third-party vendors to implement network upgrades, new systems, and to address technical issues.
  • Stay up to date with the latest network technologies and industry best practices; perform system updates, patches, and hardware replacements as required.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users regarding network connectivity issues and best practices.
