KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Established network specifications and analyzed workflow, access, information and security requirements.
• Designed proactive preventive maintenance schedules to prevent unnecessary downtime and hardware faults.
• Assist in network design and implementation.
• Provide network support with a variety of operating systems.
• Provisioned new software and hardware for use according to internal business and security policies.
• Oversaw file system, storage and other digital asset upgrades while safeguarding data integrity and redundancy.
• Directed budgeting studies on current and proposed IT spending plans, determining maximally impact business enhancements and minimizing wasteful spending.
• Reviewed and assessed architecture design, implementation, testing and deployment needs to identify project requirements and costs.
• Back-up company data to distributed storage centers to avoid massive data loss in event of network breach or failure.
• Install and configure computer network equipment. Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
• Provide network support to users. Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
• Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources. Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.
• Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades. Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.
• Create and maintain network users/permissions. Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
• Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.
• Carry out any other related tasks as may be required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science
• Minimum 2 years of experience in UAE as Network Administrator
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Networking position
• Previous experience with Microsoft 365
• Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred
• MCSE certification a plus
• CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus
• Played a key role in implementing VMware infrastructure initiatives
• VMWare Server 6.0 ESXI and Vsphere Client 6.0
