Clearance: Eligibility to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule: Temporary Fulltime 6-Month position. Onsite Monday-Friday.

GENERAL SKILLSET

SPECIFIC SKILLSET

  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN communications and network hardware, including Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways, and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Understanding of routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP, Multicast, QoS, and OSPF
  • Understanding of MPLS, VPLS, MLA VPNs, and Traffic Engineering for network management
  • Ability to support local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), oversee projects, install new devices, and maintain network infrastructure
  • Familiarity with VMware and other software
  • Working knowledge of Linux (preferred experience with F5 load balancer)
    Requirements:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA Network + or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of network administration experience
Responsibilities

The Network Administrator will have demonstrated experience in network development, analysis, or design. You will have competence in all phases of network analysis techniques, system design concepts, and computer programming languages, and the ability to work with end users to develop designs from end users’ specifications. You will also install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications, troubleshoot complex network issues involving various factors, and conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Must have extensive knowledge of the Internet, computers, routers, switches, firewalls, etc. to excel in this role.
