EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. Experience in a professional services industry is desirable.
  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting Microsoft-based software and hardware in a networked environment.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory (Microsoft Entra), Microsoft 365, Azure, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, Microsoft Power Platform, and Egnyte preferred but not required.
  • Microsoft certifications, security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+), and/or ITIL certifications are considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of or experience with cybersecurity practices and frameworks is a plus.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), for enhancing IT operations and business processes, is a plus.
  • Experience working on projects with complex timelines and multiple dependencies.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and complete projects on time.
  • Excellent client service skills, with the ability to research, analyze, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including active listening and effective interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR - POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Network Administrator you will be responsible for the maintenance and optimization of the organization’s network, server, and storage infrastructure, as well as oversight of the cybersecurity environment. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and security of all systems while contributing to the development of technology strategies and infrastructure improvements. In this position, you will focus on managing and optimizing the organization’s Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment and supporting the continued build-out of Microsoft Intune for device and application management. In addition to technical expertise, you will demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, take ownership of critical initiatives, and contribute to the long-term strategic direction of the IT environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of networking protocols, routing/switching, access control, and load balancing to support all aspects of the organization’s network hardware, software, and communications infrastructure.
  • Administer and maintain the organization’s Microsoft Windows Server environment, Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Failover Clustering environment, and associated Dell server hardware connected to Dell Storage Area Networks (SANs).
  • Manage and expand the existing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environment, ensuring its reliability, efficiency, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Support and advance the organization’s Microsoft Intune deployment, including Mobile Application Management (MAM) and PC management capabilities.
  • Administer and maintain network appliances including, but not limited to, switches, firewalls, routers, and SD-WAN solutions (VMware VeloCloud).
  • Research, install, and maintain the latest software patches and firmware to ensure systems remain secure and up to date.
  • Monitor enterprise systems for corporate and remote offices, websites, and other critical resources.
  • Maintain IT documentation for internal departmental use and end-user knowledgebase reference.
  • Review current infrastructure procedures and recommend performance and security improvements.
  • Track and report IT uptime and performance metrics to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and licensing records for all network hardware, software, and related assets to ensure compliance.
  • Manage relationships with consultants and vendors to optimize service quality, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide end-user support by responding to service requests, running diagnostics, isolating issues, and implementing effective solutions.
