Description Primary Location: Fort Bragg, North Carolina Clearance: Active Secret clearance Ability to work remotely: No Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Network Administrator to configure, secure, operate, and maintain DoD network environments in support of mission requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with Cisco network devices, strong understanding of cyber threats, and experience managing secure military networks. This role ensures reliable, resilient, and compliant network operations across all supported systems. Requirements Responsibilities Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Administer and secure DoD network environments in accordance with cybersecurity policies and industry best practices. Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal system availability. Manage network infrastructure upgrades, device configurations, and patching schedules. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems using advanced tools and methodologies. Implement network security controls including intrusion detection systems, firewall policies, encryption, and secure tunneling. Analyze cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks affecting network systems and develop mitigation strategies. Support documentation of network diagrams, configurations, inventories, and standard operating procedures. Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure network compliance and vulnerability remediation. Provide technical guidance to staff and assist in developing secure network architecture solutions. Support continuity of operations through redundancy planning and disaster recovery readiness. Maintain accurate logs, audit data, and configuration baselines in accordance with DoD policy. Requirements Associate degree in a related technical discipline OR equivalent military training (e.g., 25B, 25H, 25N) Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required Special Skills/Qualifications Required: Current certification meeting DCWF Network Operations Specialist (441) Intermediate proficiency (Security+, CCNA, or Network+) Networking concepts, architectures, and protocols Cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation practices Network security principles and tools Network systems management and monitoring tools Network troubleshooting and diagnostic methodologies Configuration/maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls Security technologies (VPNs, firewalls, IDS) Minimal Background/Experience Required: Three years of senior technical experience on a DoD network Extensive hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs Company Description Obsidian Solutions Group LLC (OSG) is a fast-growing professional services firm based in Fredericksburg, VA.
