Description SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pays $77K - $84K annually DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set) The Network Administrator is an essential position in the event of weather or other emergency and will work a hybrid schedule in accordance with Pine Street Inn’s Remote Working Policy and subject to change based on organizational needs. SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: This position is responsible for configuring, administering, monitoring, and supporting Pine Street Inn’s (PSI) data and telecommunications networks, and associated services and applications. This encompasses deployment and operation of hardware and software, documentation, and operational support for 444 Harrison campus, satellite locations, and the network with wired, fiber, WiFi, cellular etc. The scope of responsibility for this position not only covers these aspects as individual systems, but also their interoperation in the PSI-wide heterogeneous computing environment. This position also provides support to other functional areas covered by the ITS, as required. Requirements EDUCATION/TRAINING: REQUIRED: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification. PC hardware, network, and/or server training. PREFERRED: Microsoft certified MCSA, or Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: Five plus years of helpdesk/network experience in the service industry. Strong computer skills with excellent working knowledge of PC’s and servers. Maintain existing switch infrastructure, firmware upgrades, fiber optic connectivity within the campus and across the enterprise. Participate on new design for the network and work closely with rest of the ITS group. Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. Keep up-to-date documentation of all servers, switches, and wireless devices. Work close with the Senior Network Administrator to maintain documentation using the change management system in place. Manage the WSUS server Windows updates. Manage backups, learn the system, and become primary source of the backups. Procurement of the hardware, software, and submitting invoices to finance. Manage plans for mobile devices and cross-train Helpdesk for supporting these devices. Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations and working in already established carrier Microsoft tests. Assist Helpdesk at times when complicated network problems arise. PREFERRED: · Experience with Microsoft cloud-based platforms such as Office 365 and Azure. · Experienced in SharePoint and overall knowledge of databases. · Experienced in firewall management and overall security. · Experience supporting remote devices using Intune MDM in Office 365. · Experience with Server 2016 and 2019. Complete assignments by Senior Administrator and mentor other IT members. Takes personal responsibility, with guidance, for small, straightforward projects, involving coordination with others. Understands the importance of reporting quality information on the project. Problem Solving: Identifies alternate solutions, considering applicable precedents. Identifies optimal solutions based on weighing the advantages and disadvantages of alternative approaches. After implementation, evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of solutions.
