Description

We are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to support and maintain our IT infrastructure in Georgetown, Ontario. This role is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity, robust cybersecurity measures, and efficient use of business systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network management and system administration, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues promptly and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Assist users with Microsoft Dynamics systems by troubleshooting, managing permissions, and coordinating with external vendors for upgrades and issue resolution.
  • Administer Office 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other applications, while managing user accounts and licenses.
  • Configure, maintain, and support both physical and virtualized server environments, including regular backups and occasional after-hours maintenance.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance by configuring switches, routers, and wireless access points, while troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with third-party IT service providers to implement cybersecurity measures, perform server patching, and ensure proactive system monitoring.
  • Maintain detailed records of IT assets, including hardware and software, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Support the implementation of cybersecurity protocols such as endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, and user access controls.
  • Analyze system performance and user support trends to suggest improvements in IT operations and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal security policies and compliance with external regulations.
  • Proficiency in Cisco technologies, including switches and routers, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience with firewall technologies and ensuring secure network access.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory for user account and permission management.
  • Familiarity with backup technologies and strategies for data recovery.
  • Expertise in configuration management and maintaining accurate IT asset records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external vendors and service providers.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity practices, including endpoint protection and patch management.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze IT system trends for continuous improvement.
