Position Summary MAG Aerospace is bidding on a high level government satellite communications support program and recruiting for a Network Administrator SME who will diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex network issues affecting WSOMS. Performance location is Colorado Springs ALL positions concerning this effort are contingent upon contract award Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Lead troubleshooting efforts for LAN and WAN issues. Resolve NIPRNET, SIPRNET and RMCE LAN and WAN issues affecting WSOMS performance. Designs, implements, secures, and troubleshoots complex network infrastructures. Provide high-level expertise in optimizing network performance, defining technical standards, and managing enterprise-level hardware/software (routers, firewalls, switches). Infrastructure Design: Planning, designing, and optimizing network layouts and architecture. High-Level Troubleshooting: Diagnosing complex, high-impact connectivity issues and performance bottlenecks. Security & Compliance: Implementing robust security measures, firewalls, and disaster recovery plans. Strategic Planning: Evaluating emerging technologies and conducting capacity planning to guide business decisions. Documentation & Training: Maintaining detailed network documentation and mentoring junior staff. Requirements Minimum Requirements Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive network administration/engineering experience supporting enterprise-sale environments; directly responsible for network architecture decisions Education: Bachelors in Computer Science (preferred) or IT related field Certifications: Certifications are aligned to DoD 8140 network administration work roles (e.g. Security+ or equivalent) Clearance: Top Secret US Citizenship required Special Note The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
