Job Description: Network Analyst
Summary
This position is responsible for evaluating, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing network infrastructure and applications components. Ensures that network performance meets the company and users’ satisfaction and functions effectively without interruption by monitoring the network system. Responsible for providing technical support to all users at all levels within the company.
Essential Functions
- Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Configure, implement, test, patch, troubleshoot, or maintain firewalls, web filters, switches, routers, VPNs, encryption, antimalware solutions, and wireless networks in compliance with best practices.
- Support in the design, setup, and configuration of complex wireless networking that supports open or secure access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
- Manage and troubleshoot network and internet connectivity throughout the organization.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Provide installation, configuration, and maintenance of network services, equipment, and devices.
- Perform troubleshooting analysis of network devices, workstations, and associated systems.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of firewall, VPN access, and security appliances for access to business applications.
- Provide updates to network devices, switches, and Wi-Fi antennas.
- Assist in documenting network problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Fully support all aspects of the network, including firewalls, switches, routers, and AP.
- Collaborate with external contractors and airline personnel to integrate their systems with the airport system.
- Work with third-party support and service vendors to ensure network stability.
- Support the Application Support team in dealing with critical incidents in the Managed Service environment.
- Solve general network and security problems (firewalls, routing, NAT, etc.).
- Participate in projects to implement, test, and design IT systems, modules, and applications.
- Contribute to increasing the availability of services by providing iterative improvements to existing infrastructure solutions.
- Conduct regular security and risk assessments, refine systems based on findings, and implement additional systems to ensure operational and security advancement.
- Provide technical support to airlines and company equipment.
- Provide technical support to airport operational applications.
- Participate in meetings and orientations.
- Execute any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related experience supporting regulated systems.
- CCNA, CCNP Routing & Switching, Network+ or advanced networking training.
- FortiGate multi-threat security systems I & II and network training (switch and core).
- VoIP intermediate or advanced training.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IPv4 & v6, DHCP, and DNS.
- Strong experience in LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Security solutions design, implementation, and support.
- In-depth knowledge of static routing and routing protocols.
- Expert-level understanding of firewall configuration and maintenance.
- Experience with remote access and site-to-site VPNs.
- Proficiency with load balancers, network monitoring, and security tools.
- Bilingual: Spanish & English, with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Strong mathematical abilities to calculate rates, proportions, and interpret data.
- Ability to deal with moderately complex problem-solving situations.

- Typical office environment; occasional exposure to noise, dust, and odors. Evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
