Responsibilities of the Network Analyst entail: Configure, deploy, maintain and monitor the hardware and software used for the data and voice network. Plan, coordinate, and implement the network security measures needed to protect the Company’s network infrastructure. Assume responsibility for monitoring network performance and determine the adjustments needed for current and future usage. Set up and properly secure network devices such as printers, scanners, wireless access points, switches, routers, firewalls, and any other network attached device. Run Cat 5e network cables, as needed. Provide the IT Manager with recommendations on network upgrades as well as recommended changes to carrier provided services such as POTS lines, voice T1 circuits and data T1 circuits. Monitor and report on network appliance license and warranty coverage subscriptions. Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies, as needed. Properly track the inventory of all network attached devices including desktops and laptops. Properly document all work and calls using an internal ticketing system. Plan and implement the necessary IP network address scheme for current and future branches. Provide remote troubleshooting support to end users’ desktop and network applications and operating systems.
