Job Summary The Network Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's computer networks to ensure secure and efficient communication across systems. This role involves configuring hardware and software, analyzing network performance, and planning for future expansions or upgrades. The Network Analyst collaborates with IT teams and other departments to support organizational goals through robust and scalable network solutions. Essential Functions Designs, implements, and manages local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other data communication systems to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity. Configures, installs, and maintains network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to support organizational needs. Monitors network performance and security, identifies potential vulnerabilities, and implements measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches. Troubleshoots and resolves network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt restoration of services. Analyzes network capacity and scalability needs, providing recommendations and plans for system upgrades, expansions, or modifications to meet future demands. Participates in IT projects such as data center migrations, cloud integrations, and software rollouts, ensuring network compatibility and optimal performance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical support for departmental initiatives and enterprise-wide projects. Organizes and leads interdepartmental meetings to address network-related issues, track progress, and provide timely resolutions. Maintains detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and system changes for compliance and future reference. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required Equivalent work experience in an acute healthcare setting may be considered in lieu of a degree. 2-4 years of experience in networking infrastructure, troubleshooting and support enterprise level network required Experience with network security and compliance practices preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and MPLS, Working knowledge of network devices, including but not limited to, routers, switches, firewalls; and technologies, including but not limited to, VoIP, SD-WAN, wireless networking. Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, encryption, access controls, and VPNs. Familiarity with security best practices, network hardening, and regulatory compliance requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work well within a team, especially in large, cross-functional projects. Licenses and Certifications Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred Advanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
