Responsibilities

Do you have a passion for working with data and an interest in growing your data extraction, reporting and analysis skills?
The Network Analyst role supports the work of the Ministry of Education’s Te Mahau regional teams by analysing and interpreting large data sets which will include enrolment data, population projections to inform and support internal and external work programmes.
The Network Analyst provides information, guidance and analytical support to relevant internal staff to support their work with the sector including responding to requests for information and preparing written communications, working papers, reports and presentations.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Napier office, offering a fantastic lifestyle and work-life balance opportunity in one of New Zealand’s stunning and diverse outdoor regions.Describe We are seeking motivated Lead Advisor’s to join our English Medium Workforce Supply team within our new Education Workforce Supply & Leadership Group.
Salary range: $74,105 - $89,547 per annum + 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and capabilities:

  • Recent, relevant experience in collecting, collating and analysing data and information.
  • Expert Excel operator, and the ability to use or learn to use GeoSpatial software.
  • A proven ability in using data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and to influence and guide organisational and system-level decision making.
  • Strong written communication, numerical, statistical and information technology skills.
  • Exceptional time management and work prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across integrated teams.
  • An understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and their implications on network provision within the education sector.
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct
