Position Description:
The Architect of Conference Strategy & Infrastructure, you will spearhead the advancement of our conference technology through sophisticated, resilient, and automated network solutions. Your role encompasses evaluating existing infrastructures, exploring avant-garde enhancements, and crafting a global framework for skill and equipment distribution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive global testing standards for all infrastructure equipment and Points of Deployment ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the design and execution of network readiness assessments to guarantee that all infrastructure are capable of meeting operational requirements and performance benchmarks.
  • Lead load testing initiatives to evaluate system capacity and performance under varying conditions, identifying potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all infrastructure components are operating on the latest software versions, maintaining compliance with current standards and security protocols
  • Monitor and analyze test results, generating detailed reports that provide insights into system performance, software integrity, and adherence to global testing standards.
  • Execute comprehensive analyses of current network architectures to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Deploy automation solutions to elevate network performance and operational efficiency.
  • Implement load-testing solutions and templates across global lab locations.
  • Formulate a global deployment model for skilled personnel and equipment tailored to diverse conference needs.
  • Ensure efficient resource allocation across regions and cities.
  • Maintain updated Global Technical Clauses, ensuring current verbiage, access, pricing, and SLA across all regions.
  • Ensure consistent SRE dashboard monitoring globally for all conference tiers.
  • Develop and implement a network synthetic monitoring distribution and installation model.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with conference technology providers and assess their offerings.
  • Evaluate global contractors to guarantee optimal event coverage and support.
  • Maintain globally ISP position and posture to ensure all regions, Venues have enterprise level ISP primary and secondary circuits with High Availability and failover configuration
  • Collaborate with event organizers, IT teams, and venue coordinators to align network requirements with conference objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on network infrastructure opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Review and maintain all global third-party services and technology requirements and roadmap enhancements. Ensure all SLA are current with each technology verbiage in conference contracts (Registration/RFID/Digital Signage/1:1/AV Partner/Conference Navigator

What You Need:

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with major Networking Technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Meraki etc)
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of network, server, and storage architecture.
  • Proficiency in designing and maintaining network designs and architecture.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
  • Experience with enterprise-level IT infrastructure planning and development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Experience with monitoring and management tools.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
