Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Architect to support a federal program onsite in Honolulu, HI. The Network Architect will be responsible for managing the risk of operating a network including DoD and Army compliance requirements of the DODIN-AP network. It will include A&A management for 11 separate networks. This role requires an active Top Secret clearance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE NETWORK ARCHITECT:

  • 10+ years of experience applying DoD and Army cybersecurity policies to IT projects.
  • 5+ years of program-level cybersecurity management, including planning and coordination of network/system security.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with Army tactical communications, Mission Partner Environment (MPE), and USARPAC AOR.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Active IAM Level III certification required at start (e.g., GSLC, CISM, CISSP or Associate).
  • Final hiring contingent on customer approval.
  • Skilled in presenting and advocating technical solutions to senior leadership.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Lead architecture design for classified and unclassified HQ PACAF networks, including future-state planning.
  • Advise leadership on technology selection, network optimization, and capability enhancements.
  • Assess enterprise architecture against mission needs, capacity, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop and present engineering plans, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for major upgrades.
  • Design strategies for data center operations, disaster recovery, and wireless network expansion.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and long-term engineering planning aligned with operational goals.
  • Evaluate network topology and protocols to ensure scalability, security, and integration.
  • Provide technical recommendations to support evolving IT and mission requirements.
  • Oversee design compliance and risk assessments for cross-domain and coalition connectivity.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess infrastructure readiness for network upgrades and expansion.
