Description

DataBank Holdings Ltd. is a leading provider of enterprise-class data center, cloud, and interconnection services, offering customers 100% uptime availability of data, applications, and infrastructure. DataBanks managed data center services are anchored in world-class facilities. Our customized technology solutions are designed to help customers effectively manage risk, improve technology performance, and allow focus on core business objectives. DataBank is headquartered in the historic former Federal Reserve Bank Building, in downtown Dallas, TX.
As a Network Architect focused on cloud and multi-tenant automation, you will design, build and operate resilient, software-defined networks across all DataBank Cloud data centers, three cloud regions (public, private, FedRAMP), and hyperscaler on-ramps. Youll partner closely with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Product, Sales and Operations to deliver self-service APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code modules, and next-gen multi-tenant EVPN/VXLAN fabrics. Youll also coach junior engineers on automation best practices and drive continuous platform innovation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience
  • 10+ years designing and operating Service Provider, cloud-native and hybrid networks at scale.
  • Proven track record architecting EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN and API-driven networks.
  • Technical Skills
  • Deep hands-on with Juniper (Junos/Contrail) & Arista EOS/CloudVision.
  • Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, Python/Go automation, NETCONF/gNMI, REST/gRPC APIs.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking (Calico, Cilium), cloud VPC/VNet design, and Transit Gateway solutions.
  • Cloud Platforms
  • Strong understanding of AWS, Azure or GCP networking constructs (VPC peering, Transit Gateway, Virtual WAN).
  • Experience integrating cloud identity, security and monitoring (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus).
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across engineering, product and sales teams.
  • Solid mentoring skills, with a team-first attitude in fast-paced environments.
  • Education & Certification
  • Bachelors in Computer, Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Preferred certifications: Juniper JNCIP-Cloud, Cisco CCNP/CCIE (DC or Cloud), HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
Responsibilities
  • Cloud & Hybrid Network Architecture
  • Design multi-tenant overlay fabrics (EVPN/VXLAN, BGP-EVPN control plane) to interconnect colocation, private cloud, and public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Architect secure, automated cloud on-ramps (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect) and transit network topologies.
  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation
  • Develop and maintain Terraform/Ansible modules, Helm charts, and Python/Go scripts to provision and manage network services.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) for network configuration validation, change-control and automated rollbacks.
  • Network Security & Micro-Segmentation
  • Define multi-tenant micro-segmentation policies using cloud security groups (AWS SGs, Azure NSGs), Kubernetes CNI (Calico), and service meshes.
  • Integrate WAF, cloud-native DDoS protection, IDS/IPS, and SIEM telemetry for real-time threat detection.
  • Product Engineering & API Platforms
  • Contribute to product roadmaps, feature scoping, and POCs for cloud-native networking innovations.
  • Documentation, Standards & Training
  • Produce high-quality runbooks, design blueprints, and compliance documentation (SOC 2, FedRAMP).
  • Mentor and train junior engineers on network-as-code practices and multi-tenant troubleshooting.
