WHAT WE NEED…

The Network Architect is responsible for the overall design, implementation, and maintenance of COCC’s enterprise-level network architecture, providing technical leadership to develop innovative, secure, scalable, and reliable network solutions. This role actively engages in troubleshooting complex network issues to ensure optimal network performance and stability. The architect collaborates closely with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to align network solutions with business objectives and serves as a subject matter expert (SME) across multiple network platforms, ensuring technical excellence in complex, multi-platform environments. Key tasks include network design, configuration, monitoring, and optimization, as well as maintaining documentation and staying updated on networking advancements.

• Design scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions aligned with company objectives and industry best practices.
• Lead network infrastructure implementation projects, including deployment, configuration, and testing of network hardware and software solutions.
• Proactively monitor network performance; troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure business continuity.
• Act as a subject matter expert across multiple key network platforms (e.g., Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Velocloud SD-WAN, Arista, Linux-based appliances).
• Conduct ongoing network performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network architectures, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with company security policies and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior network team members.
• Stay current on emerging networking technologies and trends; proactively recommend improvements and enhancements.
