JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a Network Deployment Engineer role to work as a key team member within our clients’ mobile network deployment team. The role is to manage the design and build approved suppliers. The engineer in the role is expected to implement internal processes and guidelines to deliver well designed, quality builds to demanding schedules. The role interacts will all areas of the company and requires strong communication and inter-personal skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage the deployment of the mobile network, to include upgrades to existing sites and the and introduction of new sites into the network.
• Understand and follow internal processes, control on costs and co-ordination of build suppliers.
• Develop detailed knowledge of site configuration and build and requires a solution mind set in a fast and changing environment.
• Instruct the deployment of new base station network facilities and the upgrades to existing base station network facilities.
• Co-ordinate the interface with build and design suppliers and site providers during the build phase, liaise with any stakeholders or interest groups in site construction process as required.
• Provisioning, monitoring and maintaining hardware on sites.
• Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes, keep updated internal construction guidelines for mobile deployment.
• Implement the site acceptance process, monitor and assess handover documentation and ensure sites are free of issues by the build suppliers.
• Providing technical assistance during deployment phase.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure all work packages comply with Health & Safety rules and regulations.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Applicants should have a minimum qualification at degree level in civil engineering, or electrical engineering, or structural engineering or equivalent. Other relevant experience will be considered.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Full clean driving license is essential.
• Ability to travel throughout the country as necessary
