Typical Day in the Role: Typical day breakdown – once the person is trained and familiar with the build processes and support, they have a ticket system they have requests for end users for anything, ticket queue they would be responsible for responding to. Fixing an application issue, fixing hardware, varies from day to day. The biggest thing is keeping tabs on the manufacturing plant, anything that impacts production should be fixed right away and get them back up and running, engage app support teams, tasks driven by ticket queue and user requests. Number of tickets in queue varies every day, but it is never empty there is always something to be doing Interaction level with the team – will train with the team and will move to second shift once
they are comfortable, they will be on second shift by themselves when they have enough skills and confidence to do it alone. May also include another person on second shift with them to support but will eventually fall off.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS/ SKILLS:
· Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science would be a nice to have)
· Years of experience: 2-4 years’ experience
· The contractor should have some network skills – Cisco certification, all of their network is
· based on Cisco, switch knowledge, know how to troubleshoot or cable management
· experience, hands on experience with troubleshooting and fixing things
· Most of their printers are HP printers or Zebra
· Experience with HP is a nice to have
Top Skills: At least 2 years’ experience.Computer experience – supporting windows PC’s. End device support – tablets, scanners, printers
