Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will be part of a team of technical experts managing the Beeks Groups network and services. You will be responsible for providing technical support to all Beeks customers and their network and server network services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will work on a 24x7 shift rota which includes a generous rota uplift.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and rest of the team to ensure that we maintain high service levels and uptime for all clients.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to understand technical requirements and resolve issues as quickly as possible and with minimum customer impact.
  • Investigate and diagnose network related incidents reported by customers and liaise with transit providers/cross connect counterparties if necessary.
  • Deploy and maintain BGP sessions on trading, WAN and public network infrastructure.
  • Monitor, analyse, and upgrade network resources, including routers, switches, uplinks, provisioning new point of presence locations.
  • Follow change control procedures and submit/defend changes to the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Assist in the provision of new services for Beeks customers (servers, firewalls, GRE tunnels, etc.).
