Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer to join a leading telecommunications organization. The Network Engineer will be critical in delivering post-sales, on-site, and remote support for Networks products. This position will be onsite 5 days per week in Bellevue, WA!

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer include:

  • Provide hands-on operational support for Juniper routing and security products within the customer’s infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network and hardware issues, manage JTAC cases, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Train customer personnel on Juniper product configuration, operation, and best practices.
  • Lead weekly operations calls to review network issues, case statuses, and proposed solutions.
  • Design and test network upgrades, patches, and new features in lab and production environments.
  • Support the planning and deployment of Juniper MX and ACX networking and security solutions.
  • Conduct audits of network configurations, alarms, and logs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other Resident Engineers to develop and share best practices and minimize risk.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Network and Equipment Operating Procedures.
  • Raise and manage RMAs through resolution and provide regular status reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications for the Network Engineer Include:

  • 6+ years of experience in large-scale IP network design, implementation, and operations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper hardware, especially MX and ACX series.
  • Proficiency with JUNOS CLI and network protocols including BGP, OSPF, ISIS.
  • Experience with MPLS/RSVP, Segment Routing, VPLS, Martini L2circuit, EVPN/MPLS, and L3VPN.
  • Familiarity with network management tools and analyzers.
  • Strong customer interface, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Python and scripting languages for automation and diagnostics.
