Hello! I’m searching for a Network Engineer for a contract to hire job in Lancaster, OH. This role will be on-site in Lancaster at the beginning and then will become hybrid once someone is settled into the job. POSITION DESCRIPTION

Ensure reliable, high-performance network connectivity for all corporate and field operations.
Provide subject matter expertise on applicable network protocols and cybersecurity measures within the enterprise environment.
Support a wide range of network platforms, including Internet of Things (IoT) devices and video conferencing technologies.
Assist with IT service desk functions, including managing and resolving service tickets.
Participate in the on-call support rotation to provide after-hours technical assistance.
Display flexibility by assisting with tasks outside of primary responsibilities as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

Exhibit professionalism and a collaborative mindset when working with IT peers, leadership, and personnel across the organization.
Offer mentorship and guidance to other members of the IT team.
Operate independently within a complex enterprise network environment.
Apply in-depth knowledge of advanced networking concepts and perform structured, logical troubleshooting.
Manage all facets of the corporate network, including local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), wireless (WiFi), SD-WAN connections and secure tunnel configurations.
Support field communications and network security infrastructure, encompassing substation sites and other remote components of the electrical grid.
Participate in or lead the design and implementation of network architecture and solutions.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive network policies and procedures.
Adhere to all corporate and IT-related policies, procedures and guidelines.
Create and maintain documentation for systems, applications, infrastructure, and operational processes.
Produce training materials to support IT initiatives and company-wide objectives.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies to align with strategic goals.
