REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
  • Minimum CCNA certification (or equivalent) required.
  • Proven experience with Ekahau Wi-Fi design and validation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WLAN technologies, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience in cabling assessment (copper and fiber) and rack layout planning.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to perform basic device configuration.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting (Excel, MS Teams).
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with site safety practices (PPE will be provided as required).
Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

You will lead the onsite technical assessment and deployment of LAN and WLAN infrastructure. This includes conducting detailed site surveys using the Ekahau suite, validating network topologies, creating bills of materials (BOMs), and supporting migration and installation activities. You will work closely with project managers, cable installers, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform LAN and WLAN site discovery (devices, racks, cabling, layouts) using Ekahau AIPro + Sidekick2 and AP-on-a-stick kit.
  • Simulate and validate WLAN coverage across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands.
  • Document network devices, cabling, rack space, power distribution, and environmental factors in detailed survey reports.
  • Generate floor plans, structured cabling plans, and updated BOMs based on findings.
  • Assess network infrastructure quality, recommend replacements, and document blocking factors.
  • Support network equipment staging, labeling, rack-and-stack, and deployment during migration phase.
  • Collaborate with remote engineers to apply configurations and troubleshoot basic network issues.
  • Handover validated network installations to customer NOC with full documentation.
  • Comply with all safety and site access requirements.
