Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise firewall architecture, design, and operations to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of securing large-scale network environments using Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper platforms, combined with the technical depth to translate complex security requirements into resilient network solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage enterprise firewall solutions utilizing Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper network devices and associated management software Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewall policies, rules, and access control lists across multi-vendor environments Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security standards align with mission and business objectives Translate customer requirements into scalable enterprise network security solutions Develop and maintain technical documentation, including designs, implementation plans, and operational runbooks Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network security, firewall technologies, and threat intelligence Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred Minimum 11 years of hands-on network engineering experience with a strong focus on firewall technologies Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco and Palo Alto firewall platforms (Cisco FTD, Palo Alto Panorama) In-depth knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP stack, and OSI model Strong understanding of network security principles, segmentation, and zero-trust architectures Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Juniper firewall platforms and SRX series devices Cloud Service Provider and hybrid cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google Cloud) Experience with a wide variety of network technologies and solution architectures Broad knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and network design concepts Industry certifications: CCNA Security, CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent Tools & Technologies Firewalls: Cisco FTD, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto (Panorama), Juniper SRX Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, TCP/IP, TLS/SSL Cloud: AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud (hybrid extension) Management: Cisco Security Manager, Panorama, Junos Space Methodologies: Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, network segmentation Why Join Us?
