About the Role Whiteball is on the lookout for a talented Network Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our event network infrastructures to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting our live operations, connecting lighting, sound, and video systems across complex setups. You will work closely with our IT and production teams to deliver tailored solutions, enabling seamless connectivity in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) for events and internal operations Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime during live productions Configure and optimize switches, routers, and firewalls to enhance network security and efficiency Collaborate with IT and technical production teams to support and improve the overall infrastructure Implement robust network security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards Maintain documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures Assist with implementing network upgrades and expansions as needed Provide on-site technical support during events when required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Networking certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus Experience with networking for AV systems (lighting, sound, video) is a strong advantage
