Job Description The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. The role involves configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco and Fortinet network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems. The Network Engineer supports network operations, assists in project delivery, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity and efficient service delivery. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Network Design & Implementation Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network infrastructure using Cisco and Fortinet technologies. Configure and optimize Cisco routers and switches (Catalyst, Nexus) and Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer). Support implementation of network segmentation, QoS, and traffic management policies. Assist in network upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansion activities. Network Security & Compliance Implement and manage Fortinet security solutions including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager. Apply Cisco security policies (ASA, ISE, Umbrella) to ensure compliance with enterprise standards. Configure and manage VPNs (site-to-site and SSL) for secure connectivity. Support vulnerability assessments and assist in resolving network security incidents. Operations & Support Monitor network performance, availability, and utilization using tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or FortiAnalyzer. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues within defined SLAs. Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and configurations. Provide L2/L3 support and escalate complex issues when required. Collaboration & Project Support Work closely with system, cloud, and cybersecurity teams for seamless integration of network systems. Support vendor coordination, procurement, and evaluation of new technologies. Assist in developing SOPs and network policies. Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning. Training & Development Support knowledge sharing within the team. Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Electronics. Active CCIE certification. Active Fortinet NSE 4, NSE 5 and NSE 7. Preferably hold CCNP Enterprise Certifications. Preferably hold CCNP Wireless or Cisco Meraki. Preferably hold the F5 certification (LTM/ASM Certification). Preferably hold Palo Alto Network Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE). Additional Information Skills & Professional Requirements: Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Ability to produce presentation to deliver the Training and Technical Solutions. Ability to lead technical discussion and workshops with internal teams, customers and vendors. Ability to share knowledge and educate the team member as well as customers regarding to the new business challenges, technologies and solutions. Experience Requirements: Good knowledge and hands on experience on various networking and security technologies like Router, Switches, Firewalls, Security Solutions and Enterprise Wireless LAN Products. Good Knowledge and hands on experience on Cisco ACI. Good Knowledge and hands on experience on Cisco SDA. Good knowledge on SDWAN technology on (Fortinet and Cisco). Good Knowledge and hands on experience on Cisco FTD Firewalls & FMC. Good Knowledge and hands on experience on Juniper SRX Firewalls.
