Green Light have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, experienced Senior Network Engineer to join one of our delivery partners based in their Sydney offices. This position will end-to-end support and maintainence of existing environment, working closely with internal stakeholders to successfully deliver capability and maintain high availability.

The Senior Network Engineer will join an established program of work and be responsible for the design, build, deployment and support of complex network solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for Network Engineer with strong enterprise project experience in the full Cisco platform suite and some experience with Palo Alto firewalls.

The role requires a forward-thinking individual with the ability to speak with business and operational personnel regarding new and existing technologies and making recommendations when required.

Responsibilities:

• Experience across complex network environments specifically on the Cisco platform
• Strong expertise with network optimisation technologies – Cisco, SD WAN, Riverbed etc
• Routing, switching and firewalls, LAN/WAN & managed network environments
• Project delivery experience on network wireless projects – specifically Meraki, WLC, Cisco Wireless etc.
• Good written communication, interpersonal & problem-solving skills
• Strong technical knowledge with solid deployment experience using carrier protocols i.e. BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP and QoS.
• Analyse and assess security incidents and escalate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistance
• Facilitate implementation of designated framework and relevant procedures

Required:

• 10+ years professional experience as a Network Engineer
• Experience providing design, implementation and configuration of networking products in SD LAN, WAN & Internet services environments.
• Some experience with design and implementation of Cisco technologies - LAN, Controllers, WAPs, wireless networks etc
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Understanding of F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM would be advantageous.
• Proven experience planning and delivering significant network solutions and integrating into large infrastructure project
• Technically agnostic across multiple platform / technologies
