Job Title: Network Engineer III (Federal Contract)
Location: Orlando, FL (On-site at VA Medical Center)
Pay: $50.00/hour + $4.93/hour Health & Welfare + Full Benefits
Employment Type: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Occasional Weekends
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain Tier II Public Trust

TECHNICAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Must be valid for a three-year certification cycle.
  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Must be valid for a three-year certification cycle.

Organizational Experience:

  • Six (6) to Ten (10) years of key personnel experience working with enterprise-level virtual machines and managing Cisco networks with Cisco Prime.
  • Experience managing and supporting Cisco wireless LAN controllers in enterprise environments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Public Trust Clearance: Ability to pass a Tier II (Public Trust) background investigation.

Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with proficiency in:

  • Cisco 6500/6509, Catalyst 3000/4000 series switches
  • VLANs, EtherChannel, IP routing, DNS, VPN
  • Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points
  • Complex multi-site enterprise networks

Documentation & Communication: Strong ability to document network configurations and communicate effectively with internal and external teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Leading Solutions, LLC is looking for an experienced Network Engineer III to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Orlando VA Medical Center. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining the security and reliability of an air-gapped Industrial Control Network (ICN) spanning multiple VA sites across Central Florida. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Network Design & Configuration: Design, configure, and maintain wired and wireless LAN environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Multi-Site Connectivity: Support secure interconnectivity between multiple VA campuses.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Address network issues related to IP telephony, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and document telecommunication room configurations and ICN components, ensuring compliance with NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 3 and VA IT policies.
  • Project Leadership: Lead network projects, migrations, and hardware installations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, contractors, and federal staff to support the growth of infrastructure and improve network performance.
