You will work for and with the complete Fixed IP Transport to design, manage, and support our core networks and internet traffic of the various KPN entities and we indirectly support our KPN end customers with their network needs. You are a result-oriented personality and always ambitious to go the extra mile. In a challenging environment, you easily share your knowledge with colleagues, and you learn from each other’s expertise.You have:HBO working and thinking level.Extensive experience in network engineering in the field of design, testing, and operations.Detailed knowledge of networking in routing & switching, TCP/IP stack, and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, DHCP, IPv6, and EVPN. preferably knowledge of Nokia, Cisco, and, Juniper.Proven experience with Python, passion for programming, and ability to learn new languages.Good understanding of automation with tools in a Test-automation pipeline like Ansible, Docker, Jenkins.Good knowledge of network security methodologies.English language skills both in writing and speechSolid experience with Carrier grade network equipment and IP Networking in a telecom operator, & understanding of Service Provider TechnologiesKnowledge of the internet landscape (add point 2), including transit providers, peering, internet exchanges, and experience with internet registries (such as RIPE).Experience with (traffic) engineering, configuration, and operation of MPLS and BGP re-routings.Agile Mindset and knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, and other Agile working methods.You need to be currently based in the Netherlands to apply for this opportunity.Additional InformationOf course, as an employer, we also have a lot to offer you. Responsibilities
