Description:
Overview
SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Network Engineer Lead to support a large Information Technology (IT) support services contract. The Network Engineer Lead is responsible for management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership of the execution of engineering and service delivery of the multiple complex C2 and CDS solutions.
The program supports theater communications architecture and enhancing interoperability between the customer and Allied mission partners. The services performed under this contract will include, but are not limited to, End User help services, network services (WAN/LAN), Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), Mobile communications, System Administration, Command and Control (C2), Application/System Support, Project Management, Engineering Services (System/Network), Software Engineering and Application Development, Cyber Security, Logistics Management, Storage and Virtualization, Knowledge Management, and Enterprise Architecture Services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- TS/SCI clearance required.
- Associate degree minimum; Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Technical Expert accreditation status under DOCPER.
- MCP 70-410, 70-411 or higher required within 180 days.
- DoD 8570 IAT-III or 8140M certification required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (Required within 6 months of TOA).
- 5+ years of Network/System Engineering experience.
- Experience providing theater level Mission Command (MC)/Command and Control (C2) systems engineering support in planning for future activities.
- Acumen leading diverse technical teams.
- Ability to operate independently, without day-to-day direction, and be a self-starter in all aspects of programmatic and technical leadership, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
- May require participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Analyzes data and multi-media communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
- Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
- Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, and the like.
- Configures systems to user requirements.
- Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as the operations and maintenance of the hardware and software on the servers.
- May perform network administration duties as directed.
- May administer network security and/or maintain network security appliances.
- Advise the USAREUR-AF Command Group, Staff Offices and Commanders on technical aspects of Mission Command (including engineering, planning, training, operating, securing and interfacing with higher/lower stakeholders).
- Operate and maintain U.S. and coalition theater-level Mission Command Systems including operational, exercise, cross-domain and continuity of operations plan (COOP) systems.
- Develops written action plans, identifying planning elements and steps with milestones.
- Establishes application of policies, standards, methods, and evaluation procedures for meeting correct and future Information System needs.
- Implements finalized feasibility of system design to include system networks.
- Monitors the performance of systems.
