Job Summary: The Network Engineer, based in Algosystems in Athens Greece, will be part of our engineering team and be responsible for delivering high-quality implementation and support services to our customers. What You Will Do: The role includes service activations, equipment staging, high-level network design, installation support, and 2nd level technical support for escalated incidents. The candidate will comply with defined procedures and participate in standby support when required. Reporting to the Head of Client Operations. Job Responsibilities Perform service activations and support the delivery of network installations in accordance with customer requirements and internal standards. Prepare and stage network equipment for deployment, ensuring proper configuration and readiness for installation. Contribute to high-level network design and documentation for customer solutions across routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPN, wireless, and access network environments. Act as the escalation point for incidents from 1st level support, providing timely troubleshooting and coordination toward resolution. Issue and manage tickets with vendors, carriers, and internal technical teams, following up until final closure. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and inventory records to ensure operational continuity and knowledge sharing. Job Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Networks, Computer Science, or relevant field 2+ years of working experience in a similar role CCNA or equivalent certification is required Strong experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, SD-WAN) Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Python and Terraform Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNet) Understanding of SASE and Zero Trust Architecture will be considered an advantage Familiarity with NMS, ticketing, and documentation tools will be considered an asset Solid understanding of enterprise-grade networking technologies (e.g., routing, switching, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, wireless) in production environments Proficient in English and Greek Availability to participate in standby support outside business hours Certifications that will be considered an asset: CCNP Enterprise or Security (strongly desired) Fortinet NSE 5 or NSE 6 Cisco DevNet Associate What We Offer: Competitive remuneration package.
