DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a full time Network Engineer that enjoys designing, administrating, and troubleshooting both the LAN and WAN of a highly complex and secured infrastructure environment.
The candidate will be required to be onsite at the data center as part of their core responsibilities due to the security requirements of the infrastructure.
Our ideal candidate is experienced in designing and implementing innovative LAN/WAN architecture in support of business growth using advanced networking solutions such as Network Access Control, VTI for certificate based IPSEC, and BGP.
As an experienced professional, you will be expected to mentor other members of the team in a positive and supportive manner, often through collaborative multi person efforts, regardless it being more efficient to complete the work independently. Success in this will be measured as part of the annual goal setting and performance review process.

As a Network Engineer (Level II) your essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Network Architecture
  • Network Administration where Security is the primary consideration in any decision
  • Installation and configuration of network devices
  • Implementation of configuration management for network devices
  • Network monitoring
  • Development of automated deployment processes
  • Participation in the design of infrastructure solutions to business problems
  • Documentation of network topography to industry standards
  • Documentation of standard practices and procedures
  • Rotating on-call support
  • Interpretation of network traffic analytics to proactively address potential issues
  • Capacity planning in anticipation of performance requirements
  • Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and development of Corrective Action Plans as required

This Network Engineer (Level II) will demonstrate the following skills/competencies:

  • 5-10 years of Network Administration experience
  • CCIE or equivalent Routing and Switching Certification
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto networking products
  • Basic understanding of digital certificate use and management
  • Experience with load balancing and HA solutions
  • Experience with WAN Optimization
  • Experience with 24x7 customer-facing application environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in either English or French and working knowledge of the other.
