POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for daily support of the NYCHSRO/MedReview data network and security implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN, LAN, and server architecture. Responsible for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations. This position will provide multiple levels of support for all network troubleshooting and resolution. The Network Engineer will ensure smooth operations to provide maximum security, performance and availability and support current and future project implementation efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent IT experience
  • Very strong Hands-on experience (Required 5+ years) in network engineering and security including evaluating, developing, customizing, installing, and supporting network systems, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks and other networks and data center equipment
  • Analysis and implementation of new security protocols for greater efficiency against any threats or malfunctions
  • Part of the security team which reports the security analysis of findings, investigation of security breach alert, etc.
  • Maintenance and implementation of the SOP for network security
  • Responsible for change control management for all network and security changes.
  • Assist in security audits and assessments.
  • Finding security issues and eradicating them with focuses that range from large scale DDoS, routing security, security tool development, defense against internal and external attacks.

Responsibilities
  • Very strong experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Very strong experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower or other remote VPN solution
  • Arista and Cisco routing & switching platforms
  • Cloud based IP Telephony and Nice InContact Call Center experience a plus.
  • Cloud networking such as AWS, Azure and/or Google experience a plus
  • Experience with Zscaler, and MS Global Secure Access or other Zero Trust platforms
  • Experience with devices management tool such as Solar Winds Orion, NetMRI, Zabbix and equivalent
  • Network Configuration & Performance Manager
  • IPD/IDS activity monitoring
  • Network based App Control
  • Experience in HITRUST/HIPAA Assessments areas is a plus.
