REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including but not limited to firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless
  • Proven hands-on experience and expertise with Palo Alto firewalls or assimilated products
  • And/or proven hands-on experience and expertise with F5 Load Balancers or assimilated products
  • Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with fundamental networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, VPN, BGP, SD-WAN, etc
  • Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, &/or DHCP servers
  • Experience supporting and administering Load balancers, Proxy, reverse Proxy, Firewalls, Routers, Switches
  • Proven experience in incident management, service request management and troubleshooting using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Outstanding English languages written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a NOC environment
  • Experience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting WiFi networks
  • Working knowledge of public DNS zones and Global Servers Load Balancing (Traffic Manager)
  • Cloud hands-on experience (Azure)
  • Certification in Networking (e.g. BSc Networking, CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, Juniper JNCIA)
Responsibilities
  • Implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases designing communication networks within an organization or between organizations
  • Ensuring the integrity and high availability of our network infrastructure
  • Establishing networking environment by defining, implementing, documenting, and enforcing system standards
  • Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
  • Supporting and administering firewall environments in line with IT security policy
  • Supporting on-site engineers
  • Troubleshooting and fault finding if issues arise
  • Fulfilling ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company
  • Contributing to the definition and implementation of project best practices and quality processes
  • Liaising with external provider when network management is outsourced
