Opportunity to work with different network architectures to meet various organisational needs Collaborative and supportive team environment This is an Ongoing Full-time position About the Role The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the NSW Electoral Commission’s network infrastructure, ensuring our network is reliable, secure and scalable to meet our needs. We are seeking someone with strong technical skills and experience to support existing network infrastructure and assist with various network uplift projects within the Technology group. Proven experience with network security technology and tools, including VPN technologies, Network Access Control (NAC) aligned with Zero Trust architecture, Identity and Access Control, IPS/IDS, web security gateway, Next-Generation Firewalls, SIEM tools and vulnerability assessment tools. Experience in managing network infrastructure that supports cloud-based phone systems (e.g. MS Teams platform) and contact centre management systems (e.g. Nice CXOne). Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology or related fields and/or equivalent relevant professional experience.
