Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a mission-critical program focused on radar systems and simulators deployed across Navy ships and remote bases. This is a direct placement opportunity supporting a growing small business. The Network Engineer will support development of a Local Area Network being deployed on various ships. This position is on-site in Morristown, NJ.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE NETWORK ENGINEER INCLUDE:

• 5+ years of experience with Network Engineering
• Experience supporting lab environment, combat or radar systems, and the DOD space
• Experience with Linux configuration and troubleshooting
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Active Secret Clearance

• Support the development and engineering of a closed-loop, high bandwidth Local Area Network in a lab environment.
• Configure Linux servers, tune, maintain, and troubleshoot the network and engineer various solutions as it goes through the developmental lifecycle.
• Assist with documentation, monthly security patches, test runs, and support for various developmental phases for Integration and Test.
• Support a team as an individual contributor.
