About the role

We are seeking a Network / Hosting Engineer to join the Technical Team at Micronet Systems (Australia) Pty Ltd. This is a full-time position based in Sutherland. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems, directly assisting our business operations, enabling our teams to support our valued customers. Business continuity depends on you, so you’ll be available after hours and on weekends when it counts.

What you'll do

• Internal support that keeps the Micronet team moving
• Hosted support ticket resolution
• Early-morning priority calls from hosted customers
• Maintenance that runs during downtime
• Handling SOC alerts from our cloud provider's security team
• Maintenance, patching and testing of our environments
• Escalated technical issues across hosted and local infrastructure
• SaaS software deployment

What we're looking for

• Willingness to be on call and work after hours (remuneration included)
• Solid experience across multiple SQL Server environments
• Hands-on RDS experience
• SQL experience is desirable
• Understanding of SaaS platforms
• Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (Azure)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Someone who can work well in a small team
• Superior communication skills and command of the English language
• Relevant certifications are desirable
