DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Network Engineer with strong MSP or multi-tenant experience to join a growing MSP long-term. You will work with a team of network engineers and other IT professionals on a variety of environments. This position requires experience in firewall configuration and/or routing and switching. The job grade and final responsibilities will consider relevant skills and experience.

YOU SHOULD BE DEEPLY EXPERIENCED WITH:

  • Switching and routing
  • Palo Alto, Fortinet, and/or Cisco firewalls
  • Switch, Router, and Firewall configuration
  • Enterprise firewall design
  • TCP/IP, Layer 2 (VLAN) and Layer 3
  • Wireless knowledge (802.11x)
  • WAN NNI circuit
  • Ubiquity
Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Configure and install network devices including firewalls, particularly Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco products
  • Provide L3 support for and train others on switching and routing
  • Provide final level support for network troubleshooting on internal and customer environments
  • Mentor team members on technical issues, train current and future engineers
  • Communicate with users as needed
  • Create and maintain complete technical documentation
  • Fully track time and work done on internal and customer tickets and projects
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary
