For more information, please visit solera.com. The Role We are seeking a technically skilled & highly motivated individual to work within our growing Global IT Organization. Working in the global Network Operations team to assist with day-to-day operations, projects and migrations. The position will include diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues, configuration of network devices for offices and datacenters and involvement in global network projects. Major Incident resolution and on-call work are also part of the role. What You’ll Do Maintain datacenters, offices, cabling, switches, routers, etc. Be responsible for maintenance of devices, monitoring and alert response. Adhere to Change Control procedures for patching, infrastructure changes and day-to-day operations. Create and update internal documentation. Learn from other Network Engineers to advance knowledge and understanding. Perform daily operational tasks such as completing change requests, resolving trouble tickets. Provide network support for IT projects. What You’ll Bring Key Skills A hunger to learn and pickup new skills. Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers. Ability to troubleshoot effectively and interest in learning new methods. Understanding of networking fundamentals, experience in firewalling, switching and basic routing. Strong organisational skills Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Interest in network automation. General IT skills and troubleshooting experience. Good to have skills (Secondary skills) Experience F5 and Citrix NetScaler load balancing. Experience in Palo Alto, Fortinet and Cisco firewalls. Experience in Cisco, Arista and Juniper switching/routing. Experience with Cisco, Juniper or Aruba wireless. Automation skills in Ansible, Python etc. with a focus on network management. Linux, DNS and VMware skills would be useful. Experience 3+ years’ experience in IT including networking. Experience in working directly with end users, management and technical engineers. Experience creating and maintaining good documentation. Personal Characteristics Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to identify, implement and drive improvements. Proactive, enthusiastic, and output driven. Flexibility with regards to working outside normal business hours as required.
